Measuring technology
The manufacturing process is the clearest indicator of our approach to quality. A huge range of different procedures is dovetailed and consistently developed.
Prior to delivery, all L’Orange products are put through meticulous functional testing. To measure the finest manufacturing tolerances, we work with all the common measuring technologies: such as 3D coordinates, form, surface and contour, and we also use function and endurance test benches. The fact that our production is subject to extreme requirements is most clearly manifested in the manufacturing of components. Here, we are able to realize component tolerances of < 3 µm for clearance or < 1 µm for roundness, < 3 µm for cylindrical shape and a surface quality of Rz = 1 µm.
These are validated on multicoordinate measuring devices, shape testers, laser-based geometrical measuring equipment and test benches for flow and automatic function testing. In some cases, automatic recording of measured data and documentation of critical characteristics are done – if necessary even during the production process.
