Another example of highly specialised development expertise is the Woodward L’Orange spray diagnostic capability, the “cold chamber”. During testing without combustion, spray patterns of the nozzles can be gathered. These injection images provide precise information on the quality and fineness of the fuel atomisation. This is a requisite for the highly efficient fuel utilisation through Woodward L’Orange injection systems in our customers’ engines.
